For The Coast / Everyday Support ("we", "us", "our") is a community volunteer outreach initiative operating on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it, including:
- Full name, phone number, email address, and suburb — when you sign up to volunteer
- Name and email address — when you express interest in a volunteer opportunity
- Walk activity data (streets, houses, people contacted) — when you log a walk through the volunteer portal
- Account credentials (email and password) — when a staff account is created for you
- Session cookies — automatically set when you log in, to keep you authenticated
3. Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Contact you about volunteer opportunities and coordinate your involvement
- Manage volunteer walk activity and community outreach records
- Provide access to the staff and volunteer portal
- Improve our platform and understand community needs
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with trusted volunteers and staff coordinators within our organisation who need it to contact you. We do not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
5. How we store and protect it
Your data is stored in a secure database hosted in Australia. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We retain your information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law.

We use a single HttpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the portal to function and does not track you across other websites. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.
